"The Elizabeth Fry Society of Simcoe County, a non-profit organization that has been providing critical services across Simcoe County to inspire positive change for 26 year has used the large meeting room at the Community Wholeness Centre on two occasions in the past year. We were very happy with both the space and the general atmosphere of this unique community resource.
The centre has provided our organization with increased capacity to host meetings, trainings and public events that we cannot host at our own facility. Further, the philosophy of shared community space is one that we support. Creating inclusive and accessible, shared space options brings people together in unique ways.
At our AGM a community member was practicing piano and she continued to play, providing musical entertainment as people arrived for the meeting. Where else would such mutual engagement opportunity just happen?

It has been Yolanda's vision from the start to help the Barrie community grow, heal and harmonize. The programs she has brought to the CWC have always reflected this vision. "On behalf of Youth Services at the YMCA of Simcoe/Muskoka I would like to thank you for allowing us to be a part of your first ever Community Showcase on July 9th 2015. The turnout was incredible which allowed us to raise plenty of awareness surrounding what we, as youth services, offer here in the Simcoe/Muskoka region.
As a non for profit organization that works toward helping alleviate employment barriers and providing opportunities to youth with volunteering and national/international exchanges this was the perfect opportunity. We work with many at risk youth who face many barriers – whether it is mental illness, lack of resources or transportation – and I believe that being a part of the showcase we were able to reach many more youth and raise awareness.
Combining the arts – of all forms – and community organization awareness brings such a great flavour Barrie and I look forward to working together with you in our future endeavours."

I want to thank, most sincerely, the Community Wholeness Centre for opening up their doors, and their hearts, to this year's Barrie NOPE Candle Light Vigil. The gym area was a perfect setting, acoustics for the music exceptional. We were able to create a very warm, safe, welcoming venue for this special event and I cannot thank Yolanda Gallo enough for her kindness, support, assistance. Yolanda is so easy to work with; a good listener with good ideas. I would highly recommend this space for your future special events. A great space in the middle of our beautiful city.
